In just a few years, these turtles will return to Banderas Bay to lay eggs; and between 80 and 160 eggs are buried in sand nests on the beach. 24 Visit of the charrería in Guadalajara Duration: 02:00 h · Level: Easy The charrerías have their origin in the competitions of Mexican cowboys, the vaqueros. At a charrería, they demonstrated their daily work on the haciendas and showed off their horsemanship. Today, however, the charrería is much more than just a demanding sport – it is a social and folkloristic event with much dancing and singing. Thoroughbreds, the charros in their typical costumes, lovely adelitas – in short, it is a fiesta Mexicana par excellence and for many Mexicans the only true national sport.
