Hundreds of species are grown here to preserve the biological diversity of species – one of them is the cardón cactus, which has an average lifespan of 500 years and develops its first branch after no less than 70 years. In 1972, the founder Don Vittorio Giaginto Perencin planted the first vines. The climactic conditions in the region are similar to those in the Mediterranean and the high-quality products are comparable to wines from the best wineproducing regions.
